The staff has always been great. Food is great. This place needs a front of house person. You have to sign your name and party size on a notebook if there is a wait. Kind of awkward, but definitely worth it. Don't let that spoil your visit. It's our favorite Mexican restaurant in town.

We love Melaque! The people are so nice and the food is great. I love the enchiladas and pork verde. The rice and beans are good and the fresh salsa is tasty. The margaritas rock.

I had the rice and bean burrito with guacamole on top. Lots of cheese. It was delicious. I'm used to Tex-Mex and pretty choosy about Mexican food. The salsa was fresh, chips crispy. I would eat here again.

Stopped here on our way home from Salt Lake City, what a gem this Mexican restaurant was. We ordered the taco salad and it was so good; Also the rice and bean burrito was also amazing. Will stop here again on our way through.

I've always enjoyed eating here but it had been awhile because of no longer living in Helena. It did not disappoint, especially with their remodel. If I had thought about it I would have taken some photos but I will just tell you it's very festive and fun inside now. Their prices are affordable and the amount you get goes with the price. Helena has a rather big selection of good Mexican places but Melaques has and always will be one of our top two choices. They have free chips and salsa that can be refilled no charge. The parking lot is large and easy to get around in. They have bathrooms that are accessed through the casino that is sectioned off completely from the restaurant so no old smoke smell or noises outside of other eaters and the kitchen. They always seem to be busy but it's never a super long wait and it's worth it. With their new fun & festive insides it's a new experience for a long standing restaurant in Helena.
